WE is the new album from Canadian rock band Arcade Fire. This is the sixth Arcade Fire studio album, and is made up of seven songs that speak to this moment with unique directness. Written, recorded, and released during a critical historical juncture, they are divided into two distinct sides, “I” and “WE.” If the “I” side of the record evokes and embodies our holed-up anxiety and lack of physical connection, the “WE” side captures the excitement of new possibilities and the elevating thrill of committing to one another socially and personally. Produced by Nigel Godrich, Win Butler & Régine Chassagne, WE is a 40 minute epic as much about the forces that threaten to pull us away from the people we love, as it is inspired by the urgent need to overcome them.

Hast schon recht. Mit der letzten Platte ging die Kurve wieder etwas nach oben. Aber ist letztendlich für mich ein Nostalgie-Act, wo ich eigentlich kein neues Material brauche. Zudem diesmal anscheinend auch leider komplett ohne DJ Muggs-Produktionen. Bei Langeweile lausche ich aber vielleicht mal rein.

Arcade Fire klingt ja tatsächlich ein wenig nach der Pre-Reflektor-Ära. Ob ich das gut finde, muss ich dann beim ganzen Album entscheiden, aber so sind die beiden Songs auf jeden Fall schon mal ganz nett.

Das Album von Charli begeistert mich nicht vom ersten Eindruck her. Klar ist das sehr guter Pop und hat kaum Schwächen, aber es fehlen doch die kleinen Experimente, die ich an den Vorgängerprojekten geliebt habe. Es werden bestimmt noch viele Durchgänge folgen, aber AOTY wird das nicht.

Gute Nachricht auch, dass Generation A nicht drauf ist.
Den Track fand ich so la la.

Die Live-Mitschnitte von Age of Anxiety stimmen mich hoffnungsvoll, dass es ein gutes Album werden könnte.

Lightning II taugt mir mehr als Lightning I. Aber ja, ich erwarte nicht viel von Arcade Fire. Funeral und Neon Bible fand ich damals jeweils überragend, Suburbs war in Ordnung und danach konnte ich nicht mehr viel mit ihnen anfangen.

Lightning I sorgt primär für Erleichterung, dass es kein Totalausfall wird und Lightning II macht dann richtig Spaß

Feel the void von Hot Water Music klingt genau so wie man sich ein Album von Hot Water Music im Jahr 2022 vorstellt. Nicht mehr, aber auch nicht weniger.

Wozu das denn? Es sind doch schon 3/4 davon veröffentlicht

Vielleicht liegt's mal wieder an den überlasteten Presswerken.

Audio88 & Yassin geht auch ganz gut rein
Cypress Hill machen Cypress Hill Dinge. Solide, mehr nicht. "Elephants on Acid" gefiel mir besser.
Ghost ja mei...im Endeffekt hat Sammy Recht mit "Mitklatsch Stadionrock". Wenn man Journey, Toto, Foreigner usw. gut findet, dann kann man schon mal reinhören. Mich hauts nicht vom Hocker.
