Finde Battle of L.A. auch bärenstark und tue mich schwer die gegeneinander zu bewerten. Im Endeffekt sagt die Liste ja auch nicht aus, dass das Debüt das beste Werk des Künstlers sein muss. Das würde ich für einige Künstler meiner Liste auch verneinen.

Zu Kasabian: L.S.F. ist für mich einer der besten Indie-Pop-Songs aller Zeiten.

Ich hab letztens ein paar Videos von ihrer US-Tour gesehen und war etwas perplex, welch kleine Läden sie spielen. Ich weiß nicht, ob sie dort je richtig groß waren, aber hier spielen sie ja auch bald im Tower in Bremen. Zu Zeiten des Debüts und auch noch lange danach hatten sie ein gewisses Momentum. Ich hoffe mit dem letzten Album, das (verständlicherweise) völlig unterm Radar lief, haben sie das nicht verspielt. "Get Tragic" fand ich ja eine äußerst spannende Erweiterung ihres Sounds und wirklich gelungen.

Top 10 Songs der 2010er

Die Shortlist wird eher ne Longlist. Das wird nicht einfach.

Man lernt aber auch was über seinen eigenen Geschmack. Da kommt mir intuitiv, sagen wir, ein The National-Song in den Sinn, den ich in der Dekade vorne sehe. Und da einige meiner Topsongs von ihnen aus dem Jahrzehnt kommen, stellt sich schnell die Frage, ob das mein The National-Favorit allgemein ist. Irgendwie hätte ich den vielleicht in einem einzelnen Ranking der Band ein, zwei Plätze drunter gesehen.
Nebenbei, ein The National-Ranking könnten wir hier gerne auch nochmal machen. Seit der Best Of-Liste, die wir mal hatten, hat sich bei mir da doch noch einiges getan.
