Nach Cassadega war eigentlich sein gesamter Output eine einzige Enttäuschung für mich.

Jeder einzelne Track davor ist aber immer noch pures Gold für mich.

seine solo-platte, die aktuelle desaparecidos, monsters of folk und auch 'the peoples key' sind ehrlich gesagt allesamt mindestens gute platten für mich.

Ein weiterer bockstarker Song. Es schreit nur so nach Album des Jahres.

Jeder einzelne Track davor ist aber immer noch pures Gold für mich.

seine solo-platte, die aktuelle desaparecidos, monsters of folk und auch 'the peoples key' sind ehrlich gesagt allesamt mindestens gute platten für mich.

Desaparecidos, monsters of folk fand ich 'okay' und 'The People's Key' fand ich 'gut'. Aber der Output davor ist für mich halt überragend.
Die Mystic Valley Band-Alben fand ich bei Erstsichtung echt langweilig. Die Soloplatte werde ich mir aber jetzt doch mal anhören.

Conor hat mich noch nie enttäuscht. Auch wenn ich nicht alles gleich toll finde, so war doch noch nie was schlechtes dabei wie die neue Warpaint Single oder die letzten Alben von Placebo oder oder...
Hat also schon Seltenheitswert.

Das ist mal so überhaupt nicht das, was ich von Warpaint hören möchte. Viel zu poppig/dance-lastig.

Wobei ich die Bloc Party-single dieses Jahr ja klasse fand.

Ist ja auch Geschmackssache. Aber wer den psychedelisch angehauchten Sound von Warpaint mag, der wird wohl eher enttäuscht sein als jemand der eher Songs wie Disco/Very mag.

Lustigerweise finde ich den Song gar nicht soo schlecht, bis ich mir dann einrede "das sind aber Warpaint, verdammt nochmal!"

Bin mal wieder dazu gekommen ein paar neue Alben zu hören.

Die neue Russian Circles ist so klasse, wie es die Vorabsongs vermuten ließen. "Mota" ist für mich glaube ich zum Sinnbild eines Post-Rock Build Ups geworden. Find ich fast so gut wie damals Empros.

Die neue Bear's Den dagegen langweilt mich total. Von vorne bis hinten glatt gebügelter, Mainstream konformer, Folk Pop. Könnten genau so gut die Mighty Oats sein.

Durch das RBF Line Up hab ich mal in die Platte von Palace Winter reingehört und ziemlichen Gefallen dran gefunden. Bewegt sich irgendwo zwischen The War on Drugs und Wild Nothing. Wer sowas mag, sollte die mal hören.

Und weil ich ja nicht müder werde es zu erwähnen. Das Debüt von Camp Cope hat Potential mein Album des Jahres zu werden.

Hab das Album erst einmal gehört und war da total müde, hab also noch keine Meinung dazu, aber "Fortress" hat sich bei mir so festgesetzt. Find den Song zumindest sehr schön.

E: Auch wenn er ziemlich kitschig ist.

Here it is, two new records and three tours to announce for the fall! We will be releasing our 5th full length album titled BETTER OFF on September 16, 2016. BETTER OFF will be released overseas through out Europe by our long time friends Grand Hotel van Cleef and for the first time since SOUND & FURY, we will be releasing the new albums by ourselves in the US under the moniker of East Cameron Records. We will also be forgoing the traditional distribution and PR release and we will be making the record available in the US exclusively through our brand new web store called "The Folk Store". All pre-orders of BETTER OFF purchased at "The Folk Store" will include a FREE immediate download of our second record, an all acoustic EP titled FOSSILS that includes a stripped down acoustic version of 969 and some other old bones that we dug up and dusted off.

A huge thanks to Black Fret for allowing us the financial freedom this year to continue doing what we've been doing together now for almost 8 years. BETTER OFF is our first time recording live in a room together as a band and a huge amount of credit and graditude goes to the guys behind the scenes who made this record sound the way it does, to Daniel McNeill and Chris Seyler our engineers, Simon Frontzek our mixologist and Dan Millice Mastering for the finishing touches.

As the man who begins this record, Mr. Buckminster Fuller once said “We are called to be architects of the future, not its victims.” So in this bleak moment in history, we must choose between what is easy and what is right. More lean, more live, BETTER OFF captures us as a band at our most comfortable, as architects of our own future.

Hab mir mal Honey Bones von Dope Lemon angehört. Dahinter verbirgt sich das neue Projekt von Angus Stone. Kam am 10. Juni diesen Jahres raus, kann in der Liste hinzugefügt werden, wenn jemand Lust hat

Schöne Folk/Blues Platte für entspannte Sommerabende. Nichts herausragendes, aber kann man sich definitiv schon mal geben. Sehr entspannter, lockerer Sound, hat mich daher teilweise an Mac DeMarco erinnert. Ansonsten sehr viel Bob Dylan drin, insbesondere bezogen auf die leicht verzerrte Stimme von Angus.

Die neue DinosaurJr. klingt beim ersten durchhören schonmal sehr cool.

Die ist wirklich gut. Kombiniert wunderbar den melodischen Postrock mit Russian Circles-typischem geknüppel.
